Packers Women's Association Food Drive collects 7,000 food items and $11,000 at Sunday's game

$11,000 in donations also collected by Paul's Pantry

Fans attending Sunday’s Packers-Seahawks game donated 7,000 non-perishable food items and $11,000 for the Packers Women’s Association’s 31st Annual Food Drive for Paul’s Pantry, a supplementary food distribution program for the needy in the greater Green Bay area.

Overall, in 31 years of conducting the food drive, the PWA has collected more than one million non-perishable food items and more than $334,000 for Paul’s Pantry.

Paul’s Pantry assisted with the food drive and provided volunteers to collect donations before the game at each gate.

The Packers Women’s Association (PWA) membership comprises Packers players’ and coaches’ wives and girlfriends. It’s a nonprofit volunteer group focused on service to the community through leadership, fellowship and support. Every year, the PWA initiates an annual food drive that benefits Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay. Overall, in the past 29 years of conducting food drives, the PWA has collected nearly a million non-perishable food items and more than $314,000 for Paul’s Pantry.
